Bridges
Did you know that?
The Chapel Bridge or Kapellbrücke is a 204-meter long bridge that crosses the Reuss River in the city of Lucerne in Switzerland. It is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe; one of the main tourist attractions of this country and one of the most photographed areas.
Since the beginning of mankind, man has needed to cross small streams, deep ravines and other physical obstacles. First, to move through the territory in search of food, and then for the need to communicate and interact with their peers. This was the beginning of the history of bridges, which evolved through the centuries and led to the development of structural engineering as we know it today.
